Sync "local file" with Syncthing?

Hi,still testing, I've installed SP on a Linux PC and an Android phone. Both are set to sync via local file, then I sync both files with Syncthing, so the changes made to the file on Android are duplicated on the file on the PC and vice-versa.

It's what I do with other programs and works every time, but not with SP, I'm getting lots of sync conflicts.
I know I should be using something like WebDav, but I'm curious:

• What went wrong here?
• Can Syncthing be used for this purpose? Maybe syncing manually in a particular order?

Same issue here, it seems it's because SP includes the path to your local .json file inside the local .json file, which will cause other synced devices to look for that same path in their own filesystem structure, which won't the same if syncing between Android and Windows, Windows and Linux etc... I suggest moving this option
"localFileSync":{"syncFilePath":"/path/to/sync.json"}}
to somewhere that won't get synced, perhaps in $CONFIG/superProductivity/Preferences?

I just found out, as a quick workaround you can set syncFilePath in the .json file to an empty string. The app will still use this file for sync, just don't touch the setting on the actual app since it may set it again.
..."localFileSync":{"syncFilePath":""}}...

So I guess this is already stored locally somewhere, it just needs to not be included in the sync.json file.

Of course I had conflicting versions when setting up the second and third devices, but I chose to keep the remote data and each device inherited the edited .json from the first one. Everything is running fine since then, zero issues, so I haven't looked into what happened to the paths or anything else, (if it ain't broke...)

Also, I've avoided using several devices at the same time because I assumed Syncthing would create conflicts. And I already set the interval to 1m so I don't have to manually sync every time I switch devices, which isn't too often for me.

I realize I am resurrecting an old thread here but please indulge me.

I am new today to super-productivity and have an initial concern that is associated with your topic here. I have watched videos by the author and have not found an answer to my primary question regarding this product. It is of the utmost importance to me that the application be available on all platforms, which besides a hiccup I am having with installing the windows version this product is. I use all platforms. Next to that, it is important that I can share data between all instances of the product working on all different platforms.

Can anyone explain the steps to being able to do this or point me to somewhere that shows how to do this?

Sorry @hdokes , I appear to have messed up my system. I don't know if a mobile update broke it or I made a mistake, but I can't recommend the way I was doing things. I haven't looked into it or tried to fix it yet, but maybe using Syncthing was a bad idea.
I might try the other sync options, I recommend you do the same.

I would try other options.... if I could identify what those options may be... unless you are referring to an alternative to super-productivity itself.

Under Settings / Sync & Export / Sync, I see options to sync via Dropbox, WebDAV and LocalFile. I've tried LocalFile with SyncThing, I don't know about the other ones, but you could try Dropbox, it should be the easiest choice.
