The core PANOPTES team who participated in the development of the prototype and baseline units are:

{% include thumbnail.html src="people/OlivierGuyon.png" align="left" heading="Olivier Guyon" caption="Olivier is an astronomer at the Subaru Telescope and the University of Arizona. Olivier started astronomy as an avid amateur astronomer at age 10, and enjoys building and using telescopes for amateur astronomy. His professional interest in exoplanets and his taste for amateur astronomy and astrophotography led him and other like-minded amateur/professional astronomers to start the PANOPTES project. Olivier's professional website describes his exoplanet instrumentation work: coronagraphy, adaptive optics." %}

He earned his bachelors degree at the University of California at Berkeley and his PhD at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Josh has been an avid amateur astronomer since childhood and still enjoys observing sessions under the Big Island’s pristine skies. You can read more at Josh's personal website." %}

{% include thumbnail.html src="people/Nem.jpg" align="left" heading="Nem Jovanovic" caption="Nem is an astronomer/engineer at the Subaru Telescope. Nem completed his PhD in optical physics at Macquarie University in Sydney in 2010. He enjoys amatuer astronomy but has a real passion for tinkering, building, and developing technology for cutting edge research." %}

{% include thumbnail.html src="people/Wilfred.jpg" align="right" heading="Wilfred Tyler Gee" caption="Wilfred is a software developer who was tired of making money and decided he wanted to make science instead. Currently working on PANOPTES from Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia as part of his Masters Thesis, Wilfred recently attained a bachelors degree in Astronomy from the University of Hawaii at Hilo. His previous bachelors was from the University of Utah in Psychology. Wilfred is also a wanna-be Shakespearean actor and, in his free time, likes to rapel down waterfalls." %}

He is the chief architect for the amateur astronomy space-debris and satellite tracking project, SpaceView. You can read more about Mike’s research, engineering, and general interests on his personal website." %}

On PANOPTES she keeps the servers running, and the data processing. If she's away from her laptop, she's probably skating around a roller derby track, or hanging from aerial silk." %}

{% include thumbnail.html src="people/KathyGuyon.jpg" align="left" heading="Kathy Guyon" caption="Kathy, now at Subaru Telescope, has worked on multiple ground and space observatories, observing distant quasars to measure the chemical composition of the universe and its evolution. The stars and exoplanets PANOPTES is observing feel like unusually nearby targets for Kathy. Some have suggested that Kathy hopes PANOPTES will help prove that cats have colonized other planets." %}
