would like to have a method for formatting text (colors, style, etc)

needs to have:

repr
- a way to type in chat
- a json (or other structured) representation
- a packed binary repr for the wire?
for consistent design language, i would like to have a standard color palette
- should also support hex codes (maybe just a subset?)
easy to understand and use
