What would you like to see added to HDMF?

We have begun integrating Termsets with HERD, but have yet to find a way to store/link Termsets to HERD or NWB files. We want to have a way to keep track of what Termsets are used for what HERD file and what Termsets are used for validation across datasets and attributes in an NWBFile.

  1. We could cache the Termset with HERD, but they can get large and the actual terms are sparse compared to the memory requiremnts.
  2. We could have a field that is a link (string) to where the termset is stored (github repo). This is probably to move to go forward.

Is your feature request related to a problem?

No response

What solution would you like?

Keep track of the termsets via option 1 or option 2.

Do you have any interest in helping implement the feature?

Yes.
