From the 2013? youtube conference recording, I have discovered that geopackages are supported but do not know the details. Could the manual contain more information on use of geopackages within gpap.

There is some code in Geopaparazzi to handle Geopackage vector overlays and tile basemap sets (this is news to me too!). I'll see if I can make it work.

That would be great as geopackages are now the standard vector data storage format for QGIS. It it works well that would mean seamless integration with QGIS. I also use Manifold GIS which can create geopackages, even with rasters, which QGIS cannot do at this time.

There is a significant amount of code within Geopaparazzi to deal vector layers in a Geopacakage, but I could not get it to read a Geopackage created with GDAL's ogr2ogr (so Geopackages created with QGIS would likely not work either. Perhaps one of the developers could comment.

It is a while that I do not use geopackage, but @mj10777 make many tests in the past. If it doesn't work anymore, then we should make sure why. MArk, can you confirm geopackage still works for you?
