I don't think that adding glow is the right way to fix this issue. However, i guess i will have to merge your PR as a temporary fix for the issue. Will do this later as i am currently at work. |

I think this was removed consciously but the text is not visible on dark backgrounds if you use DWM so this effect under the text must be there.
