The project's setup instructions currently do not specify how to install all the necessary dependencies on a Windows system.

I do not have a Windows machine to figure this out with, nor the necessary experience to do so. If you are a Windows user of gexiv2-sys, please consider updating the documentation with the steps you took to get it working.

Is there a way to work around this? I've been trying to get the gexiv2-sys lib on windows in order to run rexiv2 but I haven't made much progress unfortunately.

It should be possible starting with the pre-packaged Windows builds at https://www.exiv2.org/download.html, followed by either building gexiv2 from source or possibly they have a Windows library in the tarball releases at https://download.gnome.org/sources/gexiv2/0.12/.

Unfortunately I don't have a Windows machine, though, so I don't know what the exact steps should be — sorry!

If you get it working it would be an extremely helpful thing to document!

Thanks for the prompt reply.

I will look into it and see if it gets me anywhere.
I'll definitely come through here if I find anything relevant.

Cheers.
