Calyptos fails to find (chef) nodes if run outside of the user's home dir

Calyptos syncs/installs itself in the home dir of the user on all the hosts by default. If Calyptos is being run on a machine that is part of the installation, and it is not being run in the user's home dir (aka /root for 'root' user) then this fails in a hard to debug way. The usual failure is a failure to find node/node file.
