Problem

Lenovo Thinkpad X series show serious graphics issues (screen hanging for multiple seconds) using the default kernel settings as documented over there: elementary/gala#2023

Proposal

Ideally the installer would detect Lenovo Thinpad X series hardware and apply the i915 kernel modules parameters as described in elementary/gala#2023.
