When importing information into Notion, varying the Notion page icon based on paper types (e.g. journal articles, books, conference papers, etc.) is a good idea. making it visually handy to discern the paper pages, especially when citing from other Notion pages.

Thanks for your input!

@ZheyuanHuang, I like this idea! Do you have suggestions for which emoji should be used for different paper types?

@dvanoni Hi! I think this idea is great. However, adding fixed icons would be rather monotonous. It would be preferable to add a random icon to each synchronized entry. Nevertheless, the issue lies in how to maintain the same icon during each update. I believe we could utilize the entry id to correspond to the icon.

Maybe you can also use some other unique IDs to identify the icon, but this will also cause the icon of each entry to be too fixed and cannot be changed manually. This small problem involves two-way synchronization haha
