Initial loading error (on all images and values)

On loading the dashboard pages, you get errors on all images and value boxes for a few seconds. I think this is because the lep/lsip values are not yet populated. I fixed one by adding in a validate(need...)) (see row 195 of server.R) which works but seems a bit laborious to do for all items. I thought there might be some sort of delay function, just to wait for it to catch up, but not sure this is good practice
