I get the same issue. I get to the point where I have to select, "You may now proceed". I click "proceed" and it leads to a 403 error.

I see this was reported in January. That was over 9 months ago, with no response. Is this plugin under active development?

Why did this close? Are you going to remove this functionality?

I couldn't reproduce the error. It may be because some changes have been made that fixed the chooser returning invalid URLs. Moreover, we are removing the embedded chooser and linking to the new one here:
https://creativecommons.org/choose/
Hence this issue becomes irrelevant for now. we will be releasing the new version very soon.

So will you update your documentation to reflect that this feature is no longer supported. Also do you know where this feature is still being used in the wild like @jonathannz use of this feature.

I removed it from my chapter site, since I saw no support but communicating this would be good practice.

We don't have any data on the use of the old plugin. This will be solved, in part, by uploading the soon-to-be-released version to WordPress.org (once we have a URL, we'll updated GitHub project URL and README.md).

I created Integrate License Chooser · Issue #70.
