Reading from azure blob container with SAS token

I am using PDAL, and want to access blobs in a blob container using sas token. Detials regarding my tests can be found PDAL/PDAL#4451 . I feel like I am getting close to the solution, but i am getting an auth error, it is either because of the malformed header or something that i am missing to correctly access the storage account. Hopefully somebody can enlighten me, and if need be once I have the solution, I do not mind creating a doc either on PDAL or arbiter or both explaining how to connect to an azure storage account and access blob content :)
