Checklist

  • I have verified that this is the correct repository, and the package is maintained by the chocolatey-community user.
  • I have verified that this is happening in the latest available version of the package.

Chocolatey Version

2.3.0

Chocolatey License

Package Version

5.0.0

Current Behaviour

Git Extensions version 5.0.0 was recently released, and it now requires dotnet 8.0.8. Release page: https://github.com/gitextensions/gitextensions/releases/tag/v5.0.

It produces a message that you need to update .NET if you do not have it installed already:

Expected Behaviour

Should include all dependencies needed.

Steps To Reproduce

Install gitextensions version 5.0.0

Environment

- Operating System: Windows 10
- PowerShell Version: 5.1
- Shell: Windows Terminal

Chocolatey Log

N/A

Anything else?

I have verified that the upgrade from 4.2.1 seems to have no issues, and it seems to work if you already have dotnet 8 installed. I have not yet verified if there are issues with a bare system, but will be doing that later.

I suspect this will merely need a similar change to #2112.
