RSTUDIO_PROGRAM_MODE seems to indicate whether RStudio desktop (value desktop) or Workbench (value server) is being used.

I can't find any documentation for this, but it's been consistent across the instances I've checked.

It doesn't appear to be set in Jupyter notebook environments on Posit Workbench.
