It was believed at one point that commands that include byte parameters should not be supported for scheduled Jobs. Using our reference plugin (file-bytes), the legacy UI fails on each run of the scheduled command and that seemed like reason enough not to pursue.

However, a compelling use case can be easily imagined. Therefore, investigate whether it's feasible to support the functionality in the React UI and implement if doable.
