1/2" Open Reel is an audio format too :) I'm trying to think of other places this may come up, and how this might affect tagging.

Oooh great point -- I guess we should split them with something like half_inch_open_reel_video.md and half_inch_open_real_audio.md?

The the Formats page, we can definitely sort the formats by Audio, Video, Analog, Digital. Some documentation would definitely help, and it's up to me to write it!

Something I talked about with someone somewhere was adding all the "alternative names" behind the formats too, which should help with new Format-browsers.
