I'm referencing this document (links to CIE) and this document (PDF). Usually referred to CIE 170 (or CIE 2012 or CIE 2015 depending on source).

Basically CIE 170-2 (and the preceding CIE 170-1) defines a set of new LMS cone fundamentals and a new set of colour matching functions, specifically aimed at address CIE 1931 problems when applied to modern wide color gamut displays with narrow band primaries (e.g. OLED, QD-OLED, laser displays).

There are new display color calibrators from konica minolta adhering to the CIE 170-2 standard.

The issue is that ACEScg is not defined spectrally, rather they are defined using xy coordinates given in CIE 1931 space. The question I have is, if we were to target CIE 170-2, how should we do this mapping? Rec 2020/2100 can be mapped to the CIE 170 without issue as it does define spectral primaries.
