A reflexive relationship should automatically prefer to be on a side of an entity that has the fewest other relationships. In case of a tie, prefer sides in this order: Left, Right, Top, Bottom. (When all else is held equal, left and right are preferred because reflexive relationships need labels, and horizontal labels are easier to read.)
Current behavior (by accident, not by intent) is that the reflexive relationship always falls on either the left or top, which ever side is wider. This behavior should go away.
