We have developed a technology whereby we map the codes into questionnaires then make the questionnaires available free online. The questionnaires will audit a case, develop all the issues, and determine all the motions and pleadings indicated by the answers.
You can find a sample of the tool @ www.trafficticket.website. If you get a ticket in Texas, or any state, go to the site, fill in the ticket information and you can download all the standard documents to be filed in a criminal case.
If it is Texas, it will download 150 pages of documents filled out to the details of your case ready to be signed and sent.
The second part is not implemented yet as it will shut down traffic enforcement in Texas. You go to court the first time and you can expect the judge to simply blow off all your pleadings. So you go home, open the second questionnaire and it will question you about the hearing then start spitting out criminal complaints against the parties involved, bar grievances, judicial conduct complaints, motions and pleadings. The user can go back the next day with a bigger stack of documents than the first time.
We have mapped out the Securities and Exchange Commission code as it is absolutely the most complex and convoluted code we could find. You will find a proof of concept @ www.sec-comply.com. The tool will address every provision of the code as it relates to the user. They can plot a course though only those codes that apply to them then download a checklist of all the issues that need to be addressed. Once they have addressed all the issues, they can download an Affidavit of Due Diligence to file with their application to the SEC.
A description of the entire project can be found @ www.legalearth.net.
We are willing to make all the questionnaires free for all users. For criminal issues, the user will receive a document that will address all the issues that s/he can use to leverage a dismissal or a better deal from the prosecutor. For public defenders, the tool will extract information the lawyer would have a very difficult time getting. The tool never forgets and issue or to ask the question.
