I have a design where I read in die area and pin placements from a DEF file. However, the DEF is shaped like an L, which Openroad does not support, so I want to redo the floorplan as a rectangle. I am lazy, and don't want to redo all the pin placements, so I tried the write_pin_placements command. Nothing is dumped out, except
#Edge: BOTTOM
#Edge: RIGHT
#Edge: TOP
#Edge: LEFT
In the GUI I can see my pins are clearly placed.
Expected Behavior
place_pin commands written out with correct locations.

@bfg86 I was able to reproduce with the PPL tests, and this PR should fix this issue: #5863.
Please, notice that if you run the write_pin_placement command without the new flag -placed_status, the pins will be placed with the FIXED status, meaning that PPL will not touch them later in the flow. If you want to preserve the original pin placement, you don't need this flag, but if you intend to have PPL placement, use this flag.
Describe the bug
I have a design where I read in die area and pin placements from a DEF file. However, the DEF is shaped like an L, which Openroad does not support, so I want to redo the floorplan as a rectangle. I am lazy, and don't want to redo all the pin placements, so I tried the write_pin_placements command. Nothing is dumped out, except
#Edge: BOTTOM
#Edge: RIGHT
#Edge: TOP
#Edge: LEFT
In the GUI I can see my pins are clearly placed.
Expected Behavior
place_pin commands written out with correct locations.
Environment
To Reproduce
