Salary Expectation

Negotiable, but somewhere around $130,000 CAD/year + 15% bonus.

Location

• We have an office in Mississauga, Ontario but we're remote-first.
• Our team attends the office when we need to, since we do have to take care of remote worker logistics like shipping laptops around.

What You'll Do (Job Description)

We need a passionate, proactive, details oriented, veteran IT professional with management experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Report to the Senior Director of IT and Security
• Manage and optimize the implementation and maintenance of IT systems including MDM, Google Workspace, Jira, and Apple Business Manager.
• Develop and enforce IT policies and systems to support fully remote operations.
• Oversee the security of IT systems to prevent unauthorized access and data breaches in collaboration with the IT Security Team.
• Provide leadership and direction to the IT department to ensure operational excellence.
• Coordinate with the Senior Director of IT and Security, department heads, and executive management to align IT infrastructure with organizational goals.
• Manage IT projects from conception to execution, ensuring efficient and on-budget delivery.
• Analyze business requirements by partnering with key stakeholders across the organization to develop solutions for IT needs.
• Delegate troubleshooting and resolve issues with hardware, software, and network systems to ensure continuous business operations. Go hands-on when necessary.
• Prepare financial budgets for IT expenses and investments.
• Conduct regular system audits and provide comprehensive management reports.

What You Need to Be Successful (Skills)

Must Have

• A customer service attitude 100%.
• Proven experience as an IT Manager or similar role with at least 5 years in a fully remote work environment.
• Strong expertise in managing and troubleshooting Jamf, Google Workspace, Jira, and Apple Business Manager.
• Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, capable of conveying complex IT concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in designing and implementing IT strategies that align with business goals.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.

Nice to Have

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in management or IT are preferred.

Relevant Experiences

• Terraform experience
• Experience passing a SOC2 Type II audit.
• Experience making Jira not suck.
• Experience with agile ritual type stuff without all the BS. Retrospectives, sprints, commitment based management.
• Google Workspace
• Jamf / SimpleMDM / Apple Business Manager
