I think it makes sense to also test Designate (if available). Designate has problems from time to time (hanging services that results in pending DNS record sets). It would be nice to be able to also identify this kind of issues with the help of the OHM.

Agree, this would be useful.
Let me reach out to @piobig2871 and @bitkeks though to check whether we really want to still add this to the old OHM or whether we can directly go to the new one.

This was discussed in VP12 team and can be done. It would be a good idea to use this test case as a PoC for creating tests in the new framework. So it is open for implementation, VP12 team will be available for an introduction to the SCSHM.
