Steps Taken

  • I setup automatic backups to Documents/0SimpleNotes
  • I created a note and a checklist with content, and saved them.
  • I closed and reopened the app a few times.
  • I tried selecting different directories like 0SimpleNotes and Downloads/0SimpleNotes, repeated the same steps and was faced with the same result. Each time I gave the app permissions for each folder with the default file manager as requested.

Expected Result

It would create a backup in the folder I selected for automatic backups.

Actual Result

The folder is still empty.

App and Device Info

Simple Notes v6.17.0 Pro
Android 13 running on a Samsung Galaxy A14 5G.

Checks

  • I am using the most recent version of the app.
  • I have checked for similar issues.

More Info

I think this is the only issue keeping me from switching to this app for todos.

Thanks,
Josh

P.S. You can create issue templates that ask people for this information so it's easier to provide. You could copy and paste the headers & checklist from this issue if you want.

SMT apps are dead. They were sold to ad company. There is already fork https://github.com/FossifyOrg.
