Test Dungeness crab samples for hematodinium

I placed tissue samples from two diseased Dungeness crab in the freezer yesterday. The -80C freezer position is 9-4-4. The box is labeled "PSMFC-mytilus-byssus-pilot RNA [Box1]". The microfuge tubes containing the samples have red caps on them.

First crab:

• Collected Oct 10, 2023 from Tokeland, WA
• White spots on carapace; soupy/black meat

Second crab:

• Collected Nov 11, 2023 from mouth of Colombia river, Washington side
• Black joints along walking legs; poor meat quality
