In c2m1 you can trigger the alarm at the end, by going over a line. It would be better to make the alarm go off when activating this switch.

This switch opens exit door to outside iirc...
And yes, the alarm is purposely "non-off able", it should give you the sense of pace, as you are escaping (yet another part of) prison.
