Joseph, you decided you wanted to stop doing the single-line web install. You said it was a bad idea. You said it was too easy to break. You said it wasn't possible to make it more secure. And then you went and replaced the single-line install script tell people they shouldn't be using it. And THEN you decided while you were in the middle of doing that refactor that you didn't want to take the time to start writing new web pages with better install instructions on them.

Well, you did that however long ago this was posted ago, and you haven't done it yet. And every single a2server user who reads this is supposed to either comment here or send you a message on whatever forum they can find you and tell you to fix this bug!

The short version is that you should download the latest release on GitHub or the a2server's current master.tar.gz and run the install.sh you find inside it. That's not a set of installation instructions, though, and when I do write them on a page that can be easily edited so that they can evolve a bit. Not right now.
