Using nRF24L01+ transcievers to make a wireless gamecube controller?

I am using 2 Arduino Nano's with nRF24L01+ trancievers on each Arduino to basically create my own wavebird. I have gotten the code to work for the controller from NicoHoods library, but I am having issues getting the trancievers to send the inputs from the controller to the gamecube. Has there been anyone try this and be succesfull?(anyhelp would be greatly appreciated)
