Recommend targeting version 3.10 as a minimum requirement. Ubuntu 18.04 has version 3.10.2. VS2019 has a custom build of v3.14. I forget what VS2017 has, but I'm pretty sure it's later than 3.10

Seems about right for OSX too. I don't recall installing it but I got 3.10.2 on my system

@rodoufu do you think this is easily done?
I've always used cmake for building, but never took the time to configure one from scratch.

The first thing I've suggested is the first issue =)

@igormcoelho , haven't seen anything too complicated in the makefiles, so I don't think it will be that difficult.
The first time I saw the project I was going to send a PR for that, but you said you were changing a lot of stuff so I decided to wait for a little.
