I'm trying to use plotdat.txt for some analysis I'm doing, and it seems like it's systematically missing data between 9/21/13 and 1/4/14. Do you know what might be causing the issue? There are other small gaps of a week or so throughout the dataset, but I'm not as worried about those as I am the big gap I just found.

The data we have from before 2014 was imported from a file which has a gap in reporting between the dates you noticed (end of September 2013 to the beginning of January 2014). Starting with in January 2014, we were able to pull data from the data.cdc.gov website, so reporting is more consistent after that date. I'll look around to see if I can find these missing months of data somewhere. Thanks!
