That way this is installable on a Raspberry Pi. I know Picroft already exists, but that doesn't work for my use case for two reasons:

  • Picroft does not autoupdate
  • I'm already running OSMC on the Pi, so if I switched to Picroft, I would lose my media setup

Oh also just warning that currently Precise uses a whole core on it's own. This should get slashed quite heavily with the move to TFlite. But currently the system will likely struggle running both OSMC and Mycroft.

Your other option beyond the Snap is to manually install Mycroft on the Pi. The recipe we use for generating Picroft should have all the details you'd need.
