The automatic CI Python versions :

 python-version: [ 3.8, 3.9, "3.10" ]

Are now far behind python releases and the widely accepted NEP29: https://numpy.org/neps/nep-0029-deprecation_policy.html and SPEC0 versioning: https://scientific-python.org/specs/spec-0000/
