In the paragraph "Add the account to the SMSvcHost.exe.config file"
sub-paragraph "2. Using a text editor, open the SMSvcHost.exe.config file."
of the web page "Provisioning the Microsoft Dynamics NAV Server Account"
...is stated :
"You will find the SMSvcHost.exe.config file in the installation folder for the latest :NET Framework version on the Microsoft Dynamics NAV Server computer; for example, C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319."
There are a couple of issue about this sentence:
the example is wrong for x64 systems... that are the majority as now where a production system is used for Business Central ;
there is no indication as for how to find out the current installation folder.
For this reason I found more precise steps to find out the correct folder where to edit SMSvcHost.exe.config:
• Open Services
• Right-click the Net.Tcp Port Sharing Service and select Properties on the menu.
• In the General Tab, find the Path to Executable. Open the Windows Explorer and go to that folder. This is the folder where the service is running.
Find and open the file SMSvcHost.exe.config.
