HoloPlay.js often fails to render a scene in Firefox. You often have to refresh multiple times before it starts working. Not sure if this issue only happens when you don't have a device connected, I don't have my Portrait yet. It may also be related to the initial framerate -- if an app stalls for the first few frames, rendering may not be initialized correctly.
