Errors in 1997 FOTDs #125
Comments
I found the formulas XY-XZrotation and XY-YZrotation In the fotdv1.frm file which was within the FOTD.zip I had sent to the Fractint forum. That would account for the missing ones on 11-27-97 and 12-17-97 |
Many thanks
I’ll take another look.
It is easier when the formula is within the par file.
Regards
Paul.

It is easier when the formula is in the par. The feature of having formulas separate was created because disk space was a premium back then. One thing I could not for the life of me understand is why formula names allowed not to be unique. This has to cause problems in the expected output when the wrong one is used. If multiple formulas are found a choice might be given; its been so long since I used Fractint I don't know if that is the way it worked. |
Hi CyberSpock,
I’m having difficulties with paths in ID. Things are a little better, but there are still issues.
I’ll discuss it with Richard (LegalizeAdulthood).
Thanks
Paul.

All the FOTDs for 1997 were compared to reference images for both ID and ManpWIN. The attached file shows the results. The interesting ones are those where ManpWIN is corect and ID fails.
