My nest / homebridge set-up kinda works. But every once in a while the setting changes where it heats up the house to 24 degrees!! And it's not a setting I created. It has something to do with a cooling mode. Because that is what it says. (next time it comes up ill copy paste it here. But for now, if someone can help I would be really grateful.

FYI, I don't use the "cooling" mode for anything as far as I know. When I lower the temperature on the nest via homekit form 20 to 15, for example, it still says heat heating t 15 degrees (but with a green logo instead of orange when the heater is actually on.

Thanks in advanced

Look into using this fork: https://github.com/schmittx/homebridge-nest It has re-written the heat/cool setup and is supposedly more stable. It seems like the owner of this plugin has abandoned it.

I have the exact same issue. Temperature going to 24 degrees. I don't have cooling mode so that seems unrelated.
