I plan to keep the original readme at the bottom of the bottom of the readme until the app is ready for a proper release.

1. On my Huawei phone, I can access the Openboard settings in the "Language & Input" menu (where you can choose your phone's default keyboard); perhaps you have this kind of menu on MIUI 14?
2. This already exists : go to Openboard settings → Advanced → Force incognito mode
   Or maybe you mean adding a button that enables this setting?

Thank you. Sorry but I'm new to Xiaomi (I had a Honor View 10 before, where I could find the icon in the home), so I still have to learn to fully manage my brand new phone. But now I found the settings menu! Great!
About incognito mode I already use the button in the settings area, but I would like to have a button on the keyboard in order to decide quickly every time I want to change. Actually, it's not very important but it would be easier than opening the settings and then going back to the keyboard again.

The quickest way to settings is via the menu that opens on long-pressing the comma button.

@liberozagreo could you open an issue/feature request for the shortcut to incognite mode?
I will likely ignore the issue for a long time, but if it's just in a discussion I'll probably forget about it completely.

I didn't knew about long a pressing the comma key. Would it be an idea to add a use cue to the comma? I. E. a small cog?

There are such indicators (…) in the holo theme. Not sure how simple it is to use an icon here for the material theme.
