Serene Seasons doesn't seem compatible with new "SnowAccumulationHeight" gamerule #397

What's the issue you encountered?

The Serene Seasons mod does not seem to be compatible with the new "SnowAccumulationHeight" gamerule added in Minecraft 1.19.3. With this gamerule you are able to adjust the number of layers of falling snow that can accumulate, however currently setting it above 1 with the mod installed has no affect on the snow accumulation height, despite the gamerule functioning fully as intended in vanilla or without said mod installed.

Please fix this if you can, as being able to adjust it with the Serene Seasons mod installed would be fantastic (imagine Winter with snow piled up all around the biome!). Thanks!

How can the issue be reproduced?

  1. Launch the game (1.19.3) with the Serene Seasons mod installed
  2. In-game, use the following command to set the snow accumulation height above 1: "/gamerule SnowAccumulationHeight 8"
  3. Set the current season to Winter (any) in the biome you are in via "/season set"
  4. Set snow falling via the "/weather rain" command and observe that it does not pile up above 1 layer despite the gamerule change
