Terms for modelling Processes by objective or by mechanism

A paper titled: "The Ontological How and Why - Action and Objective - of Planned Processes in the Food Domain" just published on July 4, 2023, invites community feedback for an upper-level food processing term hierarchy that will be adopted by FoodOn.

Definitions for process by objective and mechanism are being built in the top part of the FoodOn Robot Tables Process tab.

A note that https://www.ebi.ac.uk/ols/ontologies/chmo may be a good home for process model components.

However, the CHMO's field of action seems to be very much oriented towards laboratory techniques or analytical methods:

"CHMO, the chemical methods ontology, describes methods used to collect data in chemical experiments, such as mass spectrometry and electron microscopy prepare and separate material for further analysis, such as sample ionisation, chromatography, and electrophoresis synthesise materials, such as epitaxy and continuous vapour deposition It also describes the instruments used in these experiments, such as mass spectrometers and chromatography columns. It is intended to be complementary to the Ontology for Biomedical Investigations (OBI)."

News about CHMO - apparently no longer maintained! So not an option. OBI is receptive to taking upper level "material processing" terms. They would still leave terms like "sautee, fry, broil" processes to FoodOn.
