Hi,

I'm wondering if there's any update on the processing status of Collection-1? According to the status page (https://sentiwiki.copernicus.eu/web/s2-processing#S2Processing-CopernicusSentinel-2Collection-1AvailabilityStatus) data between March 2017 and December 2021 should be available.

Is the reprocessing for the COGs up to date with this? I'm seeing lots of missing data in 2019 and 2022. I understand that 2022 may not have been done upstream yet, but apparently 2019 has.

I'm subscribed to your mailing list but there hasn't been a post since January.

Hello, unfortunately we do not have any additional updates around the processing of Sentinel-2 C1. As ESA makes the data available, it gets processed into the Earth Search catalog, and we have not seen any movement in processing from ESA in the past few months. I apologize for any inconvenience.

Thanks getting back to me. Hopefully the ESA are able to get going again soon!

Are you able to confirm whether or not the Sentinel-2 C1 COG collection contains all of the data that the ESA have reprocessed per their status page? i.e. 20 March 2017 to 31 December 2021

Hi,
It seems that ESA finished the historical re processing for the period :From 4 July 2015 to 31 December 2021 included.
They are currently re processing 2022 to have the full archive with baseline >=5.

If I understand you are waiting the reprocessing to be fully finished (2022 included) to COG process on your hand this collection and make it available in AWS? Or are you currently COG processing what is already available?

Thank you,

That's great news, thanks for the update!

I'm using a mix of both collections at the moment, but it's a bit of extra work to handle the BOA offset stuff, plus filtering out duplicates. It's not a huge issue, but having the full collection done will definitely make some of the code simpler.
