I tried getting in touch with the distributions via irc:

  • For Suse: Either one of you becomes a maintainer, or we need to wait until some maintainer package it.
Quote: "there is bugzilla, where one can add enhancement requests. But there is a 99% chance it gets lost and nobody will care."

  • For Fedora: One needs to add the package to https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Package_maintainers_wishlist. To post ther you need

    • an account at the Fedora Account System,
    • sign the CLA (which need to be accepted) and
    • need to join some group.(e.g. wikiedit). For the this you need
    • to file a ticket pagure.io/ to request access.
I'm still waiting for this group access to be granted.
  • For Arch: "you could post to the aur-general mailing list or the AUR requests subforum" So I posted a request to the mailinglist Not sure this will be picked up, though.

Thanks @htgoebel for working on this!

There already is an AUR package for anonip, which I made some years ago. As soon as I find the time, I will transfer the package to my personal account and update it.

Ha, that was simple. Done! :)

Here's the package.

@htgoebel Would be great if you could post a follow-up to the aur-general mailing list.

@open-dynaMIX Oh, this package did not show up when I searched for it. Curious. I posted a reply.

I assume packaging can be speed up if somebody is able to provide the required debian files.

Work in progress: Packaging is basically done and I'm currently waiting for reviews / sponsoring of it to Debians archive.

Update: Package is done and has just been accepted into the Debian archive. I'll check later about the possible inclusion in Debians backports, so it would also be available for the users of the current stable release.
