When we address theming for the external application, we'll need to do more than just think about the #b40000 red. We should come up with a palette you guys like.

We're going to want a variant darker than Google's Red palette to fit within your branding parameters since the 500 weight is very light.

I was just doing some more research on this and it seems Google has come out with a better Color Accessibility Tool, as well as a pallete generator

I've put together a couple of canned examples that their algorithms recommend we could do with #b40000 as the primary color. Cast your vote.

  1. b40000 primary, no accent

  2. b40000 primary, 00b4b4 accent (pure complement)

  3. b40000 primary, 6cc8ca accent (1 shade lighter than complement)

I think we should do 2, the pure complement. The colors have the most pop, and I think it will be plenty accessible.

I like options 1 and 2. I feel we should stick to our original Blue rather than introduce a new Teal to our brand in option 2.

@YoMurphy to clarify, I think if we make a move it should be same for MyCar and the customer inspection report.

The only reason we had that blue before was because it was the pure complement of the much brighter material red palette shown in the description ( f44336)
