This is primarily for UI's ? Or am I missing the obvious?

This is primarily for web UIs. It does a visual diff (presumably with the same underlying content) and alerts you to the changes, which a person in charge of releases can manually verify is intended.

I live in web UIs all day these days, so forgive me if I presumed the same of you. :)

This can't hurt the overall scores as it's just another variable to be factored in.
