B350 chipset pba freeze on boot with cool'n'quiet enabled

This probably sounds insane, I know, but on my wife's PC I have to disable AMD Cool'n'Quiet or the PBA image will freeze after printing its two lines during POST, but before showing the actual "enter password" prompt.
I just get a black screen with the cursor in the top left corner.

My own PC works just fine with Cool'n'Quiet, the main difference being me having an X370 board instead.

We both run Ryzen 3600 CPUs, and the PBA image on her PC is the UEFI one from the January 6th 2021 release of the RESCUE image. Her BIOS is configured for UEFI mode as well.

I know this isn't much to go on, so I'm hoping somebody else has had the same issue and found a fix.
