I believe I have everything configured correctly. I enabled additional logging in the drivers .ini which displays the following error:

DIAG [IM008] [Microsoft][ODBC Driver 13 for SQL Server]Dialog failed

Has anyone encountered this before?

I have a wild guess that it was about incorrect connection string and ODBC driver being unable to show a widget with a prompt to correct things since PG runs as a service and has no access to GUI. I think connection should just fail but not with that message... On Windows it is even worse as PG gets really stuck if a driver pops up an inaccessible dialog. f88dbed
