Singularity (at least on LUMI) doesn't support running containers built for other CPU architectures. f.e an arm64 container wont run on amd64.

The feature would consist in providing a flag specifying the architecture for the prepared container to run on.

  • By pulling --platform={this architecture} image
  • By rebuilding the image for designated architecture if not available for the asked architecture
