I think we should have a set of logos for social media typically used by Bitcoin companies.

Some ideas would be:

  • Nostr
  • Medium
  • Twitter (old & new)
  • Facebook
  • Youtube
  • Telegram
  • Signal
  • vimeo
  • etc.

I have done no work on creating these logos, I am not a designer

Nothing to provide here, it's self explanatory (I hope)

Probably not a bad idea. @GBKS the value add would be not having to mix and match icons kit of different styles.

You are welcome to convince me otherwise, but I don't find this a good fit. The idea with Bitcoin Icons was to have icons that are specific to bitcoin UX and applications. Except for Nostr, the list above is basically company logos, and there are many other icons sets that offer those. There is barely any room for customizing the design of those, so we'd just be copy/pasting.

If we're looking at logos, I could maybe see an argument for logos of open-source bitcoin projects? But then again, I don't think there's really a need for having those as icons. I don't think many bitcoin apps use icons/logos of other bitcoin apps, and the addition of logos should be based on what applications actually use.

But as I wrote, feel free to convince me otherwise.
