File transfer will not start, sometimes for hours or days.
I create a torrent to send 1 or more files, or a folder, to a friend. Decentralized.
The files are home videos I created.
I start the torrent running seeding.
I send the torrent file to my friend.
He is using biglyBt also, same version as me, but on a windows 10 machine.
We both have set: Require Encrypted Transport,
minimum encryption level RC4,
and the bottom 3 boxes are not checked.
The file transfer will not start, sometimes for hours or days.
His IP address pops up in Peers but it does not connect. Then the IP address goes away.
Then his IP address comes back again.
And then for no reason it starts. When it does connect, the transfer works normally, no problem.
I have biglyBt Beta 3.6.0.1 B42 but this problem has been around for a year or 2 or more.
To make it simple, I installed a fresh copy of biglyBt, always on ubuntu.
I have been a biglyBt beta tester for many years, since the split from Azureus.
My current ubuntu version is 22.04.4 ... gnome 42.9
(I formatted this post with cr/Lf return, new lines. I hope that is preserved.)

I have had this same problem on several different computers, and a few versions of ubuntu. It is not isolated to just 1 install.
The same problem occurs when my friend creates a torrent to send files to me.

The following post, the first part of the post, is exactly the same problem.

Can you turn on logging to find out why the connection is failing? For example, do you get "connection refused" or something else?
