Application Gateway Ingress Controller: 502 Bad Gateway #712

I'm trying to install an AKS cluster with Application Gateway Ingress Controller. But I get an 502 Bad Gateway by the following configuration.
I want to understand what I'm doing wrong and how to fix it. In the end, I want to have AGIC with letsencrypt issuer and available services from public internet

install aks az deployment group create -g az-k8s-agic--template-file aks.bicep
get a creds az aks get-credentials -g az-k8s-agic -n az-k8s-agic
install cert manager

helm install \
  cert-manager jetstack/cert-manager \
  --namespace cert-manager \
  --create-namespace \
  --version v1.15.3 \
  --set crds.enabled=true

install letsencrypt ClusterIssuer k apply -f cluster-issuer.yaml
install a simple app aspnetapp.

trying to somehow expose the service via ingress but I get 502 Bad Gateway
