[Suggestion] Get/Use the name of the command executor #368
Comments
This issue relates to Starscript itself and not rejects. |
starscript has no context awareness outside of global variables, in this case it’d be reject’s job to set the relevant temporary variables |
makes sense yes, |
I initially created my issue there, but it got immediately closed, since "Starscript has nothing to do with Minecraft" |
You are, i misread the initial post. @RacoonDog pointed out the template for the solution. |
Describe the feature
-This is for the chat bot.-
It would be soo useful if you can get the name of the person executing the chat bot command.
For example: If I, Joe, would type
!hello
it would say "Name: Joe" since I put inName: {player}
as response of the chat bot. But if someone else would execute the command it still says "Name: Joe" and not the name of that player.This absolutely makes sense, but it would make for a great addition since it would make using the bot for commands directed to the executor possible.
-In this example I used the prefix "joe."-
:As you can see, even if someone else executes the command it still outputs my name.
